Bonsai tree seed

Patience is the key to live, well bonsai.

Ever seen an image of an old japanese fellow besides a bonsai. It’s fascinating. The bonsai is almost as big as the person ( we all know japanese people are short) and it seems so robust and healthy. Same goes for the nippon elder. I guess that practicing a patient art as bonsai must form your character and patience. Maybe that is the key to an healthy and long life? Just being not stressed and being patient about life will probably calm you and your surroundings and let you duck that heart attack at 55.

With that being said, I  found a store about bonsai tree. It is Misho Bonsai. The name is rigth on the money since Misho is japanese for tree grown from a seed. Mishobonsai specialize in tree seeds, but you also find propagation material in their germination supplies section.

What is great, is that they provide seed germination instructions with all their seeds. They also have an articles sections with in house article, but also links to great bonsai articles found on the web. This means a newbie wont be left in the dark with is purchase. Avid growers can also find usefull new informations.

They have over 50 tree seeds species to choose from in their seed catalog. All of their offerings, are common species praised by bonsai adept. The store is for everyone, from first timers to nurseries and suppliers, Misho Bonsai offers small and bulk packets. Special orders and wholesale orders are also available.

Have a look, it worth the time, even if you are just curious about bonsai.

Web Proxy

Tuesday, April 24th, 2007

One of the things you will find in this blog is a semi-regular list of web based proxy sites.  A web proxy is a site that you go to that literally sits between you and the site you wish to visit.  It can protect your privacy as the website thinks the visitor is from the proxy and not you.

Anyway, to start off the list here is 3 proxys that I have been using for a few weeks.

I will try and add a few new proxies as often as I can.

Don’t forget to subscribe to the RSS feed for the proxy category so you don’t miss any updates.

Resize Images

Monday, April 23rd, 2007

When it comes to resizing your images from your digital camera there are quite a few things you can do.  One of the easiest is to use a website like shrinkpictures to do it for you.

It is really easy to use and there is no software to install which makes it so easy.  Just follow their 5 steps and click Resize. A few seconds later you will be given the new smaller picture ready for you to download or send to your email account.

Of course, you could buy software such as photoshop and spend $500 to do the same thing!

Stopping Spam

Saturday, April 21st, 2007

I don’t know about you, but I hate spam!

Recently I came across a great site that helps slow down the flow - it is called tempemail.  It is an anonymous, free email service that you can use to receive email.   Basically, all you do is to pick a name @ tempemail.net and send email to it.  Within about 15 minutes, you can go to the site and enter the name and check for the email!

Now if you haven’t worked it out yet how it can slow down spam then this is the easy part.  Whenever you need to use an email address to subscribe to a website, rather than use your own address pick something at tempemail.  You have a reliable method of getting an email so you can get the required info, but by not giving out your own address, you have already eliminated yet another source of someone getting your email address and potentially getting spam.

Simple and effective, let the spam get sent to tempemail.  As there is no connection between your email address and one you choose to use you have already stopped the spam.
